This article will discuss using Humboldt Gauge Assistant to import calibration information for a gauge. It will also briefly discuss manual calibration.

CALIBRATION WIZARD
After completing the wizard on the gauge, the file generated by the gauge can be imported into the Humboldt Gauge Assistant software. Information collected by the CW process will be automatically imported into the appropriate data entry fields.
- Insert the USB stick containing the gauge calibration information.
- Open Gauge Assistant.
- Goto either 3 or 5 block entry of the desired manufacturer.
- Enter the serial number or locate the serial number of the gauge.
- Enter the Model and Version values (EZ2 Version entry field value is EZ2).
- Click the 'Import Cnts' button to import the calibration information for the EZ2 gauge.
- Clicking the 'Program' button will generate a .CAL file.
MANUAL CALIBRATION
Manual calibration can be done from the gauge. The gauge assistant fields in either 3 or 5 block will need to be filled in manually. The values entered will come from multiple statistical counts and 4-minute measurements at all depths supported by the gauge.
IMPORTING CALIBRATIONS TO GAUGE
- Insert a USB stick into the PC where the .CAL file was generated.
- Copy the .CAL file onto a USB stick.
- Insert the USB stick containing the .CAL file into the USB port on the gauge.
- From the main screen of the gauge select ENGINEERING (F3).
- Next select CALIBRATE (F2).
- Finally, select IMPORT CALIBRATION (F3).
- A window will pop up with the first .CAL available on the gauge.
- Press F1and F2to move to next or previous file.
- After locating the correct .CAL file press F4to load this calibration or press the MAIN MENU button to cancel import.
- The calibration import results will be displayed.
