Direct Shear Testing - Record in Reverse

Summary

A multi-pass direct shear test can be configured to record during return to home or home plus passes.

To do this the shear test setup parameters needs to be configured as follows.

NOTE:  If a multi-test is stopped before all passes have been completed, the remaining pass cannot be continued automatically.  They will have to be run individually.

Solution

START CONDITIONS

Use greater than with your horizontal input.

STOP CONDITONS

Residual Passes = Start at home

Record Reverse Values = TRUE

Record Reverse Value – Reverse Limit = The horizontal position at which you would like the machine to reverse.

Stop Type = Others

Condition = Less Than

Input = Horizontal

Value = Same as start condition.  You can specify this to be less than the trigger value if you would like the test to be reverse further.
