Boot Loop - Continued

Summary

If your equipment is rebooting over and over without showing the splash graphics or the boot progress bar this article will restore the equipment back to factory.  This procedure is for the Humboldt Elite Series equipment.

* NOTE:  The procedure will erase all data on the user partition and restore the original factory binary.

Requirements

USB Stick

Resolution

1. On a PC insert the USB stick.
2. Open Windows File Explore (Windows key + E).  
3. Change the name of the USB stick to BACKUP, please note all caps is required.
4. Safly eject the USB stick from your PC.
5. Insert the USB stick into the front port of the equipment.
6. Turn off the equipments power.
7. Locate the reset button located in a small hole on the back of the equipment.  It will be above the USB power port.
8. Using a pen press the reset button in.
9. Continue to press the reset button and power on the machine.
10. Continue to press the reset button until the "Keep Holding To Clear Tests" prompt disappears.  If you only see a white screen continue to hold the reset button until you see a progress bar at the bottom of the screen.
11. You may see a message that reads "SYSTEM RESTORE".
12. The equipment will reset to factory defaults.
