NOTE: USE PTFE TAPE ON ALL TAPERED FITTINGS
Simplified instructions:
- Remove the back panel and fill the pump with oil (1.95 gal MAX), then temporarily reattach back panel
- Run the pump to half the rated max frame load several times to purge air from the cylinder/lines into the tank (calibration tool or dummy cylinder needed)
- Check and top off the oil if necessary then reattach the back panel
Detailed instructions:
Mechanical setup:
- Turn off and unplug the cabinet
- Remove the screws from the back panel of the cabinet
- Carefully unplug the cables and set aside
- Connect the hose to the fitting on the side of the cabinet
- Connect the other end to the load frame (if not already done)
- Inside the cabinet, remove the red cap and fill the pump with 7.0-7.5L (about 1.9 gal) of hydraulic oil
- Replace the cap
- Reconnect and reattach the back panel
- Once the system has been bled (see below) be sure to check and top off the oil if necessary
'Bleeding' the system (to be performed when the system is being calibrated):
- On the right side, press Rate to open the pump control panel
- Turn the calibration knob on the front panel counter-clockwise until it stops
- Have the calibrator set up their load indication equipment in the frame
- Press UP on the motor control panel, then turn the calibration knob clockwise to increase the pump speed
- Watching the calibration unit indicator, run the pump to half the rated maximum frame load then press RELEASE
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 several times
Once calibrated, the system should then be ready for use. If you have any questions regarding the above please email support@humboldtmfg.com.
