Summary
The Load Automation introduces a new set of Extended Stop conditions. These conditions are only available if using the HM-5470 or HM-2470 equipment. These conditions are designed in conjunction with the Standard Test Stop condition.
All stop conditions, Standard or Extended, are treated as a conditional OR. This means that if one primary condition is achieved the test will stop.
This article will explain what the available Stop Conditions.
Standard Stop Conditions (Options)
Operator Stop - The user will be required to stop the test, the standard Time Delay condition will NOT be used.
Time Delay - The test will stop after the Stop Value (elapsed time) is achieved.
Extended Stop Conditions
Predicted Stop - The software will monitor the test results and attempt to predict the theoretical T100 value.
- Theoretical T100 + 1 LOG - Test will stop after the theoretical T100 is calculated. 1 log cycle is added to the calculated T100. If the total test time is greater than this computed value the test will terminate.
- Theoretical T100 + Time - Test will stop after the theoretical T100 is calculated. The user specified time will be added to the calculated T100 value. If the total test time is greater than this computed value the test will terminate.
Time Vs. Change - If the user specified vertical movement is not achieved in the user specified time the test will terminate. The user specified change is the amount of vertical displacement that the sample must compress or swell in the given time.
Reverse Direction - The test will be terminated if the vertical travel does not move in the expected direction and the total expected reverse travel is greater than the user specified amount. This condition is useful for handling swells.
