Default Test Units

Summary

Default test units can be set or cleared within any test module.  When a new test is opened the default test units for the module will be applied to the new test created.

If no default test units exist, the system default units will be applied per the Default System Units.

Solution

Setting Default Units

Following these instructions will make the current unit selection and number formatting the default for all new tests created.

1. Select the Options ribbon tab.
2. Click Create Default Units found in the Calibrations group.

Clearing Default Units

Follow these instructions to clear the any user set default units and reset the units back to factory default values for all newly created tests.

1. Select the Options ribbon tab.
2. Click Clear Default Units found in the Calibrations group.
